Inadequate calcium intake is a well-known risk factor for osteoporosis, a
progressive bone disease influenced by age, sex, lack of exercise, and many
other dietary and lifestyle choices. Dr. Cranton's OsteoNutrients is formulated
with a two-fold purpose: 1) to help teenagers and young adult women optimize
peak bone mass and to reduce risk of osteoporosis later in life, and 2) to help
slow the rate of bone loss in menopausal women, elderly men and women, and those
with a family history of osteoporosis.
Highly bioavailable forms of minerals essential for
bone health plus additional synergistic nutrients are combined to maximize
mineral absorption in the least number of pills. Calcium and vitamin D support
bone mineral density, magnesium supports bone strength and remodeling, boron
promotes calcium and magnesium balance, Vitamin K activates proteins used in
bone metabolism, and silicon helps regulate calcium deposition in bone and forms
a stronger collagen matrix. While most forms of silicon are very poorly
absorbed, orthosilicic acid is a soluble, readily absorbed and active source.
Added to the usual amounts of calcium and magnesium in the diet, two tablets of
Dr. Cranton's OsteoNutrients taken twice daily, along with
Dr. Cranton's PrimeNutrients™,
raise calcium and magnesium intake in a balanced way and raises total amounts up
